sweater weather.

 F21 necklace /  Target boot socks $8 for 2
Well if finally snowed here in Utah for about a day, and now it is raining again. I swear, this weather can't make up its' mind. The good news is I can wear a heavy sweater without getting too hot. Which is kind of big deal over here.

In other news, work has been crazy. I've been doing the company shuffle late into the evening this month, which seems to leave me feeling too drained to do anything except hula hoop and watch Netflicks, including getting dress. I'm finding that slopping jane has been making an appearance more than usual lately (she types in a too-short robe and hair going on day 5 of a no-wash run. tmi? Maaybe).

Justin is in anatomy and if it doesn't kill him, I  think he will really enjoy it.

Other than crazy insane work and school schedules, things have pretty much calmed down over here, which hopefully will allow me a little more time for fun things like blogging. :)

hope everything is well in everyone else's world.

stripe love & trash day?

Striped dress $14 via eBay / vintage belt via eBay here / Thrifted briefcase $5 here /
Vintage silk scarf $3 via eBay more here / Tights $4 via Kohls / Steve Madden boots $20 via eBay
Can we talk for just a minute about vertical stripes?! I feel like there has been all this hub bub lately about their more popular cousin, the horizontal stripe, that poor vertical stripe has gotten the ugly stepsister treatment.

Not that horizontal stripes aren't lovely (clearly I'm a big fan), but honestly, they can be more difficult to pull off, while vertical stripes are much more universally flattering.

Just saying. Let's have some vertical stripe love shall we?

And what are everyone's thoughts on these boots? They are a challenge piece for me. I haven't worn them hardly at all, because I find that high heeled boots are actually much harder for me to wear/style. So what are your thoughts?

Keep, or "take out the trash?" You can vote below!

a real Paige turner.

So I was talking on the phone earlier this week to one of my little sisters, when I had the idea to create a series of outfits attempting to personify each of my family members. Its still cold and raining,  but I was actually really happy about how this outfit turned out, even though it’s waaaay outside of my comfort zone, and makes me look slightly milliaryish (new word. Ha).

Striped Shirt: $2 thrifted
Olive Cargos: Anthropologie online sale $20
Military Boos: Aldo $25 via eBay
Belt: Kohls
Purse: Vintage $3 via eBay
This outfit is for my second to youngest sister Paige. When she gets dressed, she likes to be comfortable, and have clothes she can move in. That is why I chose the cargo pants and the oversized shirt. They are unbelievably comfortable.  Paige is by no means a girly girl! She is tough, and smart, and extremely witty, but an extremely loyal person. That’s why I went with monochromatic colors, and tough boots.
This is me marching because my outfit is so military-ish! Don't you know all soldiers march with their lips like this?

Above all though, Paige is fun, and funny, and will always surprise you!
That is why, wait for it….

I wore this fun,

 FISH PURSE!!!

YAAAAAAAAAAAY! Even though it is absolutely ridiculous, and a 24 year old girl really has no excuse to be wearing it, this purse makes me so happy! I’ve named him Steve!
Justin seriously laughed out loud when he saw my getup today (mainly at Steve I think). I suppose just like Paige, I too am full of surprises!
