balance.

Boots: 6pm.com / Pants: Soel Boutique / Blouse: AE of all places /
Jacket: eBay /  Mittens: Asos.com
Justin and I have really been trying to figure out this whole, baby, school working thing balance. It isn't easy, and I often find myself racked with guilt or trying to figure out what we can change or do differently. We've found the first thing to are the extraneous tasks, you know like blogging, haircuts, homework, eating, sleeping or cleaning. So basically we are a bunch of half starved cave dwellers over here.

I've gained a new admiration for families everywhere, and a special appreciation for my wonderful husband, who works so hard to help me in any way he can. And of course the glorious little guy, who can give me one little squinty eyed smile, and I forget about all the trouble he causes.

That is really all that can be said about today.

sweater weather.

Well if finally snowed here in Utah for about a day, and now it is raining again. I swear, this weather can't make up its' mind. The good news is I can wear a heavy sweater without getting too hot. Which is kind of big deal over here.

In other news, work has been crazy. I've been doing the company shuffle late into the evening this month, which seems to leave me feeling too drained to do anything except hula hoop and watch Netflicks, including getting dress. I'm finding that slopping jane has been making an appearance more than usual lately (she types in a too-short robe and hair going on day 5 of a no-wash run. tmi? Maaybe).

Justin is in anatomy and if it doesn't kill him, I  think he will really enjoy it.

Other than crazy insane work and school schedules, things have pretty much calmed down over here, which hopefully will allow me a little more time for fun things like blogging. :)

hope everything is well in everyone else's world.

wilted rocker.

This is what happens when you style your hair "rocker" style the day before, but wake up too late to take a shower (yes I know I am so gross). But honestly, does anyone shower every day? You don't have to answer that question. I know I'm not going to.

rocker chic.

Military Jacket via VS sale here / Striped hoodie: Banana Republic via Em /
Sweat pants: Lululemon via eBay / Sperry Topsliders via eBay here /
Big hair via back combing and a lot of gumption.
I've been finding it very hard to blog and stay connected without my laptop. Justin and I very foolishly forgot the cord in Wyoming on our last visit, and the little guy could only stay charged for so long.

I especially am sorry to Brooke, my package pal, who wrote me a very nice long introductory email, and to whom I have yet to send a suitable response. Sad face.

In outfit news, I felt very daring wearing this getup. Mainly because I felt like my hair was causing a minor eclipse for anyone within ten feet of me, but I must say, big hair makes me feel like a bit of a rockstar.

I mean that is all you really need to qualify for "rockstardom" isn't it?

Well that, and a bad attitude, which between a messy house, a crazy dog, and missing my laptop, I seem to be rocking pretty well too. *smile & sigh*

have a lovely night lovelies.

hard core.

Yeah I'm pretty much hard core. A couple of weeks ago, I got this awesome rock-star hair cut. So of course I need a rock-star outfit to go with it. Enter printed-t, pleated skirt and moto jacket. Now all I need is a tattoo, a wicked ax, and some groupies and I'm ready to hit the road.

Anyone else love them some "rocker" style?

gym sequins.

Blazer: $10 via eBay
Striped blouse: $10 via JCrew online sale
Pencil Skirt: $12 via VS online sale
Heels: $19 via Kohls online

It’s been a lovely day today, even though I haven’t been very productive. I did however make it to the gym! I usually go to power pump on Monday and Wednesdays, but we wanted to go to a friend’s house tonight, so I went earlier with Justin and Jeff. Jeff is Justin’s cousin, and he and his wife Emilee live next door to us! I’ll have to get some pictures of Em for you guys, she has such amazing style!

Anyhow, we had a bit of an adventure today at the gym; I had just finished my cardio, and had gone to lift some weights while the boys finished their workout, when this really beautiful girl walked into the window room (the big classroom with mirror and window walls) in clear high heels, and started walking around the room, stopping now and then to hit a pose. She was in amazing shape, but continued to lose progressively more and more clothing until she was just down to a bikini top and a pair of shorts. This normally wouldn’t be a big deal, but I do live in Orem, Utah, and it’s not really a normal thing to see when you’re at gold’s gym trying to get your workout on.

Anyways, when she took her shorts off, revealing a truly itty bitty tiny weenie sequined bikini bottom, I was getting more and more confused, so I went to ask J&J (my cute nickname for Justin and Jeff) what was going on. They told me that it looked like she was practicing for a body builder competition, and asked me if I recognized her. It was at that point that I realized that she was the girl that Justin kind of sort of stopped going out with in order to go out with me! Serious right now. So serious. So I asked Justin “regretting your decision now?” and we all had a good laugh. Seriously though. How random is that?

So, this is a "Sunday" outfit I rocked this weekend. I actually designed the whole thing around the shoes. All items are again via eBay, and online steals! Isn’t that just the coolest? By the way, I just finished taking pictures for a post I’m planning on how to search successfully on eBay, so stay tuned for some serious eBay tutorials!

Have a lovely, booty rockin day!
