a clean lens is so over-rated.

Ralph Lauren vintage top thrifted $2
Anthropologie pants via eBay - $10
Juicy Couture sandals via eBay - $20
So we've decided that we prefer our lenses to be spotty here at the Luczak house. Adds a bit of excitement to the picture don't you think? Bet you thought that little speck was a fairy didn't you? Sorry to disappoint. Just a speck of dust. As common as well, dust. This post is just riveting isn't it? All this talk of dust puts me in the mood for cleaning...or brushing my teeth, whichever comes first!

sleep well friends!

This outfit reminds me of my sister Shauntae. Comfy, easy to wear, and with just a hint of country. My favorite kind.

con-GRAD-ulations!

To my wonderful, talented little sister Sarah who graduated from high school this weekend!

Sarah, you have accomplished so much in your young life. There are talents in this world which are clear, and easy to see and discover, of which you have many, but even more less obvious, but more valuable talents such as humility, kindness and a cheerfulness, which cost much more to acquire, and which you have in spades. Congratulations my younger, and much more exemplary sister.

ps. the vacation is going great, except for the fact that my wonderful husband thought it would be cool to jump in the lake with my phone in his pocket. Oh how I love this wonderful man.

pps. the MAVS WON!!!! YESSSSS! Just thought you should know. its a great day in the Perkins house.

my family makes me happy.

Don't ask me why this says 2003. It was clearly confused.
Sarah Sarah boh barah.

Happy birthday to my younger, much sweeter sister! She turned 18 today! I am excited that she will be starting school up here in just a few short weeks, but also absolutely terrified and saddened to see my little family growing up. I feel like time is just slipping, slipping away from me.

Sarah you are the perfect example of kindness and consideration.
You always, always always can see the best in people, and your sweetness is infectious.
You laugh often, and generously.
You are brave enough to gut a fish…

And cowgirl enough to ride a frighteningly huge quarter horse.

You are beautiful, and elegant, and more than live up to your name.

You keep the heart of our family beating, and are fiercely loyal.
I love you, I love you, I love you. You beautiful, amazing woman.

your admirer and fan,

-Heather

a real Paige turner.

So I was talking on the phone earlier this week to one of my little sisters, when I had the idea to create a series of outfits attempting to personify each of my family members. Its still cold and raining,  but I was actually really happy about how this outfit turned out, even though it’s waaaay outside of my comfort zone, and makes me look slightly milliaryish (new word. Ha).

Striped Shirt: $2 thrifted
Olive Cargos: Anthropologie online sale $20
Military Boos: Aldo $25 via eBay
Belt: Kohls
Purse: Vintage $3 via eBay
This outfit is for my second to youngest sister Paige. When she gets dressed, she likes to be comfortable, and have clothes she can move in. That is why I chose the cargo pants and the oversized shirt. They are unbelievably comfortable.  Paige is by no means a girly girl! She is tough, and smart, and extremely witty, but an extremely loyal person. That’s why I went with monochromatic colors, and tough boots.
This is me marching because my outfit is so military-ish! Don't you know all soldiers march with their lips like this?

Above all though, Paige is fun, and funny, and will always surprise you!
That is why, wait for it….

I wore this fun,

 FISH PURSE!!!

YAAAAAAAAAAAY! Even though it is absolutely ridiculous, and a 24 year old girl really has no excuse to be wearing it, this purse makes me so happy! I’ve named him Steve!
Justin seriously laughed out loud when he saw my getup today (mainly at Steve I think). I suppose just like Paige, I too am full of surprises!
