die car die.

I'm so sick of car problems. I feel like our cars have sucked at least eight years out of our life. I can't believe how much it is to fix these stupid things. Will someone just invent teleporting already?

Ok thanks.

Justin just gave me the great news that his car will be 1k+ to fix. And were we just dropped that much on my car, and have a baby coming in a month (and I would like to be able to take some time off), that just 'ain't gonna happen'.

It is hard too, because early in our marriage, Justin fancied himself quite the race car driver, and really put his car through the ringer, so in times like these, when you really need to come together, it can sometimes be easy to point fingers and get upset with each other.

I'm sure there is some very important lesson for me to learn in all of this, and with all the fires round these parts, I suppose I should just be grateful we have a car to drive, that isn't burnt to the ground.

But maybe then, insurance would cover it...

...I think I look a lot like my mom in these pics. So at least that's nice.

stripe love & trash day?

Can we talk for just a minute about vertical stripes?! I feel like there has been all this hub bub lately about their more popular cousin, the horizontal stripe, that poor vertical stripe has gotten the ugly stepsister treatment.

Not that horizontal stripes aren't lovely (clearly I'm a big fan), but honestly, they can be more difficult to pull off, while vertical stripes are much more universally flattering.

Just saying. Let's have some vertical stripe love shall we?

And what are everyone's thoughts on these boots? They are a challenge piece for me. I haven't worn them hardly at all, because I find that high heeled boots are actually much harder for me to wear/style. So what are your thoughts?

Keep, or "take out the trash?" You can vote below!

these boots were made for walking...

...or more like these clothes were meant for packing. But there's not a saying for that.

Do you guys ever have a hard time packing for trips? I always hated getting to destinations and pulling out wrinkly close. Partly because wrinkles are the poo's but mostly because I hate ironing.

The solution?

Roll, don't fold. Not only will it save you space, it will keep your clothes from getting wrinkly. Knits work especially well. They may not turn out perfect, but you can definitely get away without the iron.

I loved not having to iron these dresses on our last trips. And apparently red is my traveling color.
