though they may make you look rounder...

Top: JCrew sale, $14 /  Pants: F21.com, $6 / Shoes: Steve Madden via eBay /
Necklace: 6pm.com / Belt: Express via eBay
Hey, remember this top from way back when before I had a belly the size of a kickball? Well turns out it also meets my two main criteria for getting dressed these days. Plus, I'm not too worried about stretching it out, as I could have fit a whole other person inside of it before I was pregnant (which is basically what I'm doing now right?).

And can I just say, I that while I know there are a lot of pregnant women out there who seem to be able to get by still wearing super low-cut jeans instead of maternity jeans, it still completely baffles me. I was lucky to nab these babies from F21.com for 6 bucks, but I can't imagine how uncomfortable it would be to wear regular jeans when you are pregnant.

Even before I was pregnant, if I had even a slight hint, or suggestion of "hangover" with a pair of pants, I couldn't wear them. And although I realize that there is a very big difference between jiggly hangover, and baby hangover, I still can't get myself to be OK with it. All those speeches from mom about wearing clothes that fit must have really done a number on me.

body bag.

Tulle pants: $14 / JCrew blouse via online sale: $14 / Fair Isle sweater: via eBay $7
Indigo by Clark pumps via eBay : $22 / Thrifted leather briefcase $5 / F21 earrings
I've gained a new appreciation for women everywhere the last week or so. As a woman not use to experiencing that joyous time that comes only once a month (I can talk about this right? kinda hard to stop me either way),  when it does decide to pay me a visit, I act pretty much like a 4 year old with a cold .

I sprawl out and  moan, and refuse to take medicine, because I am weird like that. I have an irrational fear that if I ever take any aspirin or ibuprofen, I'll burn a hole in my stomach, or they wont work when I really really need it.

Poor Justin. He just shakes his head, rubs my back and I'm sure wonders when I'm going to put on my big girl pants.

In other, less disturbing news, I am LOVING this bag! I found it in the briefcase section at the thrift store, and I must say, pretty much the most genius idea I've ever had. It has these awesome sections, and it's huge. You could pretty much hide a body in it, which in my book, makes it just about perfect. Not that I do a lot of body hiding or anything.

hello ladies...

I can't even read that phrase without thinking of the old spice commercials

I hope you have  all been having a lovely week. Justin and I went up to Wyoming this weekend to watch General Conference with my in-laws.

It. was. lovely.

Like many out there, I really loved this talk by Elder Uchtdorf given to the women of our church, and this one, also by Elder Uchtdorf in the general session.

More than anything, I appreciate how conference helps me to re-prioritize my life and give me the motivation and direction to work to become the person I want to be. I'm so grateful to have it twice a year.

pajama pants.

Pants: via ASOS / Top: via lookbook shop / Belt: from a dress / Heels: via kohls worn  here
I love these pants. and I mean seriously LOVE them. Want to marry them and have their sweet little cotton pleated babies love them. They are like wearing pajama pants. And perhaps they look like pajama pants. But that is just what love does, makes you blind to to the fact that you  look like you just rolled out of bed.

these boots were made for walking...

...or more like these clothes were meant for packing. But there's not a saying for that.

Do you guys ever have a hard time packing for trips? I always hated getting to destinations and pulling out wrinkly close. Partly because wrinkles are the poo's but mostly because I hate ironing.

The solution?

Roll, don't fold. Not only will it save you space, it will keep your clothes from getting wrinkly. Knits work especially well. They may not turn out perfect, but you can definitely get away without the iron.

I loved not having to iron these dresses on our last trips. And apparently red is my traveling color.

This will be a short post because sometimes (meaning as I'm writing this), Roxy decides that I should be playing with her. Period. So she'll grab a tennis ball (that barely fits in her little mouth I might add) and drops it on my keyboard until I stop typing and play with her. A girl after my own heart I tell ya!

I love dressing all in one color (black, and blue) and red is one of my absolute favorites! Add a turban, and you have an outfit that every man over 60 will roll his eyes at! Yay!
