funk.

Top: Urban Outfitters | Skirt: refashioned from Maxi dress |
Belt: H&M | Shoes:  Chucks via eBay
I've been on a bit of a wild ride the last week or so. nothing really specially exciting. I've just been in a bit of a funk. And I usually have a hard time posting when in a funk. Perhaps I'm not getting enough vitamin D, or perhaps its just how much Jasper is growing and changing lately. Who knows. It's been beautiful weather though, and I'm trying to think of more things for us to do in the morning.

What do people do to get out of a funk?

I love the rain. I love the way it makes everything smell, especially the trees and the grass.

But there's still no snow on the ground. Can you believe it? Its basically February in Utah, and there is still, no snow on the ground. Makes me a little sad. I've grown to love white winters more than I ever thought I would as a girl from Texas.

Oh Utah weather. It is so tricky. I'll probably be sick of it when it's snowing in June.

brights and stripes.

I think I need a new hobby. Without homework to do, I have nothing to make me feel guilty for not doing it. So now I spend way too much time watching sitcoms that border on soap operas, and reading adolescent fiction. I can almost feel my mind turning to mush.

So I'm open for any suggestions! What cheap hobbies do you lovelies fill your time with?

In other news, I love this skirt! It feels a bit tight around the belly and butt areas, which makes me feel slightly self conscious, but I love the length. I think I would like it a bit better with a long necklace or some bangles,  but the colors and stripes are my favorite!

ps. I am so so soooo excited to be guest posting on Elaine's blog today, talking about my thoughts on modesty, and how to make it your own! Make sure you check it out and share your thoughts!

This will be a short post because sometimes (meaning as I'm writing this), Roxy decides that I should be playing with her. Period. So she'll grab a tennis ball (that barely fits in her little mouth I might add) and drops it on my keyboard until I stop typing and play with her. A girl after my own heart I tell ya!

I love dressing all in one color (black, and blue) and red is one of my absolute favorites! Add a turban, and you have an outfit that every man over 60 will roll his eyes at! Yay!
