welcome to hump day friends.

Dress: Thrifted, $3
Cardigan: H&M via eBay, $11
Wedges: Colin Stuart via eBay, $17
Earrings: Hand painted! gift

And the end of my summer shenanigagaling (like that? I just invented a new word). I officially start my new job tomorrow. Did I mention that I took a job? Well I did. I’m a little nervous (especially about working regular 8 hour job) but excited.

No more lazy afternoons making crafts and watching Netflix instant play, which honestly, is probably all for the best. The poor puppies are going to be so sad! We’ve enjoyed our lazy, sunshine days together the past two weeks. Ahh well.

Wish me luck, and do something frivolous for me today!

greens.

Shirt: Marc by Marc Jacobs via eBay $17
Belt: Vintage Leather via eBay
Pinstripe Pants: Express via eBay: $11
Shoes: Clarks Indigo leather criss-cross pumps via eBay $22
This is the latest from the "professional" outfits I have been sporting lately. Everything from this outfit is from eBay! Except my grandma earrings, which are from an Anthropologie sale. I love these earrings so much. Seriously. Clark shoes by the way are amazing! Seriously! I've said it before, but these are the only heels that I can wear comfortably all day!

So today when Justin got home, we were feeling like we wanted a bit of a treat. So I gave him the 3 dollars left in my wallet and set him the task of going to the grocery store to get us dinner or a treat, his pick (don’t worry, I wasn’t being mean, Justin sometimes likes going to the store without me, keeps it from turning into a 30 minute event as I am a notoriously long shopper, even with 3 dollars).

So eight minutes, thirty seconds later, he gets home with two Totino’s pizzas. For those of you unfamiliar with Totino goodness, they are basically glorified cardboard. The fact that he got two of them for three dollars should kind of give that away. The sad thing is, that if I had gone to the store, I probably would have gotten the same exact thing. Why are they so good?!? WHY?!?

So now I have a lovely stomach ache, but no remorse. I downed those babies, and I would do it again. And most likely will do it again. Soon.

So please people, eat some greens tonight. Someone in the world needs to!

a NOT boring girl and a bribe.

Isabella Fiore Bag via ebay: $32 (this bag is originally $350!!!) - Marc Jacobs wide-leg Khakis via eBay: $17 (another $150 steal!) - Old Navy Ruffle Tank: $5 - Frye Cream Flats via eBay: $27 - Urban Outfitters Cardigan, from freshman year!
Good news, I got my first official/not official job offer today! Not sure if I’ll take it, but I’m sure some of the credit goes to these excellent pair of pants and very nerdy glasses I wore to the interview. Actually I didn’t wear the glasses, but you can bet I wanted to.

Also, believe it or not, I already have a pretty stinking sweet GIVEAWAY all set up and ready to roll, but I need more followers before I can justify doing it. Because, you see, if there was only ten of you in the giveaway, while your odds would be friggin amazing, where would be the incentive to share my amazing wit with all of your friends and family? (Honestly I am just trying to get one of my sisters to follow me! –Tay, Sarah, Paige, Toria, seriously where is the loyalty guys?!) For reals though, it is an awesome sauce giveaway that will make you smile from ear to ear! Literally. So the goal is 50 followers! Spread the word, of the awesome sauce giveaway will commence as soon as we’ve reached 50 followers on that little button up there.

Anywho, all these professional outfits I’ve been wearing lately have left me feeling a little boring. And I promise, I’m not boring. A little crazy? Yes. A little wordy? Yes. A little overzealous? Definitely. By most certainly not boring. So I’ve decided to showcase some of the outfits I’ve worn over the last month and a half ish, that were NOT boring, but didn’t make the blog, mainly because I was so super busy with school that I didn’t get to post anything! So. Here they are (drum roll please....) my very NOT boring outfits of the last month and a half ish! Eat your heart out. (Perhaps I shouldn't use phrases that I don't really get.)

fridays are lame.

No, Fridays aren't really lame, just this one, and just for me. I hope you all have some wonderful, exciting, enviable Friday plans. I've been spending my day writing my part of a manuscript I've been working on with one of my teachers because I’m the queen of procrastination. Literally. The crown is on display above my headboard.

So I’ve been working on that while justin plays angry birds and rocks out to the Tron Legacy soundtrack. I think all boys are in love with that sound track. It’s like musical testosterone. Though I’m not sure what that says about me, as I am currently also rocking out to it. Hahaha justin just said, “make sure you put album title as Tron Reconfigured, its totally different from the original.” So guys its Tron RECONFIGURED. Make sure that you get it right. Because I’m sure you were all just dying to listen to musical testosterone in the first place.

a picture of justin, because I've decided he's been overwhelmingly underrepresented in this blog thus far.

I had my second interview with a company today, which is why I’m dressed so snazzy. Again, everything in this outfit is from eBay, except the belt. The whole outfit was under 35 buckaroo’s: Vintage patterned blouse via eBay – black pinstripe pants from express, via eBay – Kenneth Cole ankle strap leather flats (you guys can’t appreciate in this picture how awesome these shoes are, but let me just tell you, they are rockin) and red leather belt from a Kohl’s sale. J

Well friends, go forth and prosper, and do something fantastic on this lovely Friday night!

-Heather

Ps. Make sure you tune in again tomorrow, I am posting probably the cutest music video of all stinking time. Serious right now.

This is me thinking about the great music video I have for you tomorrow. Or me about to take a bite out of your face. You pick.

whistle while you (look for) work.

JCrew blouse - 14$ from online sale - F21 leather belt - Wide-leg slacks from Macy's 16$, in-store sale (shocking I know,
I do occasionally somehow magically appear in a real-life store) - Pink Studio cognac leather pumps via eBay
(you should see the inside of these puppies, they're TEAL! so fun!)

little blurry, still learning how to work this fan dangled thingy-ma-jig.

Sooooo. Had a few job interviews today, and this is what I wore. I've usually heard that as a woman it is good to wear slacks to an interview (show them who’s the man), but I feel as though I have to wear something that shows off my femininity too, so I went with an over the top ruffley shirt. Take that glass ceiling!

It would just be my luck that on the day I had said interviews, I also had the worst case of indigestion slash the you know whatsies I think I’ve ever had in my life! And I HAD NO PEPTO. L I think it might have to do something with the fact that I pretty much completely devoured a 1 1/2 lbs steak all by myself yesterday (see the picture? i'm not joking!). Still. Totally worth it.

I LOVE spring time. Well who doesn't? but fo reals, BBQ, swimming, flowers. It’s just the greatest. We had a nice little BBQ yesterday with our friends (the one where the offending steak was present), and it was so nice slash weird to not have homework hanging over my head, though don’t worry, I still have work and some deadlines to meet so my head doesn't get lonely.

I hope all your tummies are better than mine, but your summers are going just as swimmingly!
