Last month, we had the opportunity to partner with Altin Place to review one of their beautiful Koa wood inlay men's rings.

I can't even say.

I can hardly begin to tell you about this weekend. There really are no words. Let me try and paint a picture:

On our first vacation together since our honeymoon, our AC goes out 2 hours outside of Vegas. Picture a 8 month pregnant woman driving in a dark car in 105 degree heat. A sweet supportive husband, who keeps saying how sorry he is, even though it isn't his fault. Once in Vegas, we spend another hour looking for and checking into our hotel.

Cirque du Soleil, KA was amazing. 

Since the next day is Saturday, we spend he whole day looking for a mechanic to see our car. Drove to AAMCO only to find it was closed, but that I AM mechanic, next door was open. Found out our AC compressor and condenser, which also happened to be attached to the same belt as the water filter and engine were completely blown and would take 1k or more to fix. 

Hung out at the Trump pool. The sweet mechanic spent 6+ hours, after hours, on a Saturday fixing our car. Gardens at the Bellagio, Ceasars Palace. Heading home, and hour and half out out of Vegas, the AC starts blowing hot air. We pull over to find the new compressor and belt smoking. Call the mechanic, who says if we can stay, he will fix it the next day. 

Monday rolls around, where we would spend 9 hours in the mechanic's lobby. There Justin and I catch up on our reading for our Lamaze class, and watch Netflix on his phone.Meanwhile, the new compressor is installed, but the car still refuses to start. Our amazing new friend spend another two hours, figuring out what could possibly be wrong with our car, and gets 2 new parts to fix the problem. An hour later, he sends us on our way, not even letting us pay him for the extra parts, or the time he spent installing them. 

This weekend was the best, most worst weekend I have ever experienced. 

A couple of things I have learned from this weekend:

-I can smile, even when I don't want to. 
-I don't really like Vegas all that much. 
-People go to Lamaze class because they don't read the book.
-There are such good people in the world.
-My husband is the sweetest, most kind wonderful man I have the blessing to know.
-Vacationing is not all it cracked up to be.
-I love spending time with the wonderful man I married, even when I hate what I'm doing.
-There are such good people in the world. Seriously.

So last week Justin turned old. Not really old, but older... When we were first dating, I would try to freak Justin out by saying things like, "When you started High School, I was still in elementary school" or "When you were learning to ride a bike, I was still in my mothers womb." That one usually got him. But it could of just been my use of the word womb. It's kind of a weird word.

Enough with my ramblings though! Happy Birthday my wonderful man. I love you, and will love you even when you get old and incontinent! You are one of the very best people I know, and I am so beyond lucky to have you!

So I'm sitting here and Heather hands me her laptop and says, "here honey you right me a post"

what?. . . .First I laugh. . . .then I think, "I can't write a post for her blog shes all witty and fun and I am boring she'll lose all her followers in one fail swoop". .. . .third reason I shouldn't be writing this particular post. . . . . ready for it. . . . I'm not a fan of the outfit.

Now Heather is beautiful and adorable but sometimes she wears crazy things. 

At this point I've learned not to be the sitcom husbands that says, "you look great" when she asks, just because I think that's what she wants to hear. 

(Guy's if your reading) I've learned that quick honest feed back is the way to go or she will just keep bugging you  tell she gets it :P 

So I told her that I thought the green hat (though she looks awesome in hats)  paired with stripped shirt and blue skirt. mmmmmmm just doesn't seem to work for me. Feel free to comment away and tell me I'm wrong ;)

The great thing about it is no matter what I say, if she likes it she still wears it, cuz she is cool like that! 

Sometimes it even helps her figure out that she really does like it.  So every one enjoy, that is all.

Its been a rather long, not entirely pleasant day. Lucky for me, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. And by light I mean that handsome guy (and ice cream). And by tunnel I mean the road between my work and home. Not to say that he is a magician or anything (despite what people might think), but he is my bestie, and therefore I like him mucho much. 

Slash, I cooked an amazing meal. 

Two nights in a row. 

Which means he is pretty much completely in love with me right now. 

Which is sorta nice.

My new laptop! For our anniversary/my birthday/graduation, Justin bought me this sweet little guy. He's a little HP, and even has a little camera and everything! I have this propensity to name inanimate (spelling that word correctly suddenly made it make a whole lot more sense) objects, and for some reason the first name that came to me for my new little friends was Eddie. But as that is the name of one of my ex boyfriends, I somehow don't think that would be appropriate. So for now, the jury is still out. I hope you all have some wonderful plans for the 4th of July! Please be safe and partay hard!

honey, I'm home!

Well guys, its 2 in the morning, I'm writing a post and watching a silly show, so I suppose that means we are home and back in action! My house is in pretty much a sweet mess, I've had an uncontrollable craving for caramel corn all day, Trev and Sarah are all moved into the dorms and ready to start school tomorrow, puppies are so excited to have us back, and life is good. 

Texas was great! My sisters are still as silly as ever, which makes my heart so so happy. The day the giggles die would be the saddest day in the world. I found out that its very very hard to blog while on vacation and with my family, but I've decided that everyone should unplug every now and then. I think Justin and I become a little too invested and reliant on our gadgets and knick knacks, so a break was very refreshing!
