rite of passage...

is there anything more wonderful than watching your little one experience something new? the squeals of joy that are the only way he can express his excitement.

and when something is truly, entirely delightful, the only adequate way to express himself is to run in circles, beating his stomach.

truly, is there anything better? I say there is not.

prepare for an onslaught...

of pictures & cuteness. This guy turned 11 months last Sunday, so we snapped a few pics. I can't believe that he is almost a year old. He said "da-da" for the first time this week, and took his first steps on Saturday. It's been really exciting and heart jerking all at the same time. It's all going too too too fast. I know it's a cliche, but seriously, too fast little guy. I just love you.

box it up.

We sat Jasper this box yesterday in hopes that it might keep him contained long enough for us to get some cleaning don.

He loved it. My child, that never sits still, sat in that box and played with his little toys.

There must be something to the saying that kids will love the box their toys came in more than the toy itself. I  never would have thought of using a box as a photo prop, but he was just being so adorable, I had to grab the camera and snap a few pictures. I can't get over how creamy and delicious they turned out.

Love this little crazy guy.

{now that is a face of determination}

Grass. It's the bees knees.

Hope you all are enjoying the warm weather as much as this guy.

Bowtie: Colins Closet / Everything else: Gifted
Someone's ready for Easter. I think it's the bowtie, don't you? We're off to Wyoming today to get to know our Uncle Kory who just got back from his LDS mission, and celebrate Easter with the family! Yay!

i carry your heart with me, my dear.

[i carry your heart with me(i carry it in]
BY E. E. CUMMINGS
i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear;and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
                                                      i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)

Does anyone else kind of love that song? I might now know exactly what it is about, but any song that talks about thirfting is ok by me.

I can't think of much to say about this week other than Justin and I have both been a feeling a bit off, and Jasper is teething. And that is pretty much that.

Between sickness, work and mommying, I've pretty much failed as a housewife the last few months. A couple weeks ago Justin and I finally admitted defeat and paid my siblings to come help us clean. Even with the help, there is still a sink full of dishes, two baskets of unfolded clean laundry, a full basket of dirty laundry, and a load out in the washer that I've probably ran at least 4 times, because I keep forgetting about it.

But spring is on its way, and who wants to stay in and do laundry anyways?
