I grew up in family of five girls and one boy, not counting my daddy. I think that my dad sometimes felt overwhelmed by the excessive amounts of estrogen, so he took his manly stands where he could.
One of those areas was movies. I grew up on a healthy does of Star Wars, Indiana Jones and James Bond. My dad classified "chick flicks" as any western, Disney, or Collin Firth movie; or at least those were the examples he gave when we complained that in a family of six girls, we didn't own a single chick flick.
I have to admit though, I loved it.
I'm probably the only girl in the world who doesn't love the Notebook and would choose a Daniel Craig flick over a Jennifer Aniston nine times out of ten.
And unlike most girls, on those down days when I need a little emotion comfort, I find my solace in Luke, Han and Leia saving the galaxy one death star at a time.
